"NOTHING WITHOUT LABOR" - SINCE 1907

Jayson Moore

With little family support, homeless 17 year-old “street kid” Jayson Moore enrolled as a student at Boys Republic in June of 1998. The 14 months he spent here measured more like a few years in the growth and ‘the becoming’ of the mature young man who left as Student Mayor.

The next years he spent at Chico State University prepared him to return to Boys Republic in 2003 – this time as an employee. A bit more measured, a bit more polished, Jayson became one of only six Unit Supervisors some 10 years later. Much older now than his years would hint, his future holds much promise to those groups of boys from which he, himself, emerged.
