Pete Carroll, charismatic head coach of USC’s championship football team, has agreed to the role of 2007 Honorary National Della Robbia Wreath Campaign Chairman. In this role, he will appear in literature promotingBoys Republic’s sale of the holiday decorations,.

Mr. Carroll is widely credited with having returned the Trojans to national prominence. USC is 65-12 in Carroll’s first six seasons, 59-6 over the last five, with five consecutive Pac-10 titles, five consecutive BCS bowls and two national titles. He coached 16 years in the NFL, but is happier and more fulfilled coaching at the college level.

In 2003, Carroll helped develop “A Better L.A.,” a non-profit group consisting of a consortium of local agencies and organizations working to reduce gang violence by empowering change in individuals and communities.
